Curatorial Statement
Along the life-giving waters of the Nile, a small riverside settlement emerges from memory and imagination. Raised dwellings, weathered wooden structures, and silent figures stand between land and water, sustained by the river that nourished some of humanity’s earliest communities. Through expressive brushwork and vibrant color contrasts, the painting evokes the fragile balance between nature, survival, and faith. Rather than documenting a specific place, the work captures the timeless spirit of people whose lives are shaped by the rhythm of the river.
