Curatorial Statement
Starry Nights transforms an ordinary vessel into a sculptural object charged with matter, darkness, movement, and spiritual energy. Its surface, built with cement and acrylic, takes on an almost mineral quality—deep and nocturnal, yet interrupted by spontaneous gestures of color.
The small splashes that emerge across the dark surface suggest flashes of light and energy breaking through the night. For ArNoUx, these gestures symbolize the extraordinary strength that can appear even during our darkest moments: an energy that does not come from us alone, but from God.
The work speaks of hope without literally depicting a star-filled sky. Here, the night exists within the material itself, while light appears through gesture, movement, and color. Each mark becomes a sign of life, renewal, and divine presence.
