Seeing Angels Along My Path presents a spiritual encounter suspended between the visible and the invisible. A contemplative female figure occupies the foreground, her gaze fixed beyond the physical landscape. Behind her, upon a rocky formation bathed in light, mysterious figures emerge. They may be travelers, worshippers, saints, or perhaps angelic messengers standing between heaven and earth.
The ambiguity is intentional. German Expressionism allows emotion and revelation to take precedence over literal representation. The work explores the belief that divine presence often appears quietly along life’s journey—not always as a winged being, but as guidance, protection, companionship, and unexpected encounters.
The luminous horizon symbolizes God’s promise and direction, while the purple forms upon the rocks suggest a sacred gathering.
