Curatorial Statement
In Guardian Angel, ArNoUx transforms discarded material into a sacred emotional presence. Painted over a recycled microwave popcorn box, the work elevates an ordinary object of consumption into a spiritual artifact charged with vulnerability and protection.
The elongated composition frames a solitary face emerging through layers of muted violets, grays, blacks, and fragmented textures. The angelic figure appears suspended between memory and apparition, carrying both innocence and exhaustion within its gaze. The rough surfaces and visible traces of the original packaging remain intentionally exposed, reinforcing the tension between the disposable world and the eternal nature of the soul.
Through expressive gestures and raw materiality, ArNoUx reclaims waste as testimony. The work suggests that even the forgotten and abandoned can become vessels of grace, guardianship, and spiritual transformation.
