Two presences emerge from a single field, bound by a vertical rupture that refuses silence. The Angel of Severance is not a destroyer, but a divider of truth—separating what has been imposed from what must be reclaimed. The wound, rendered in a vivid red axis, is both violence and awakening: a passage from submission into consciousness.
The faces, partially dissolved, carry the residue of control, memory, and emotional constraint. Yet within the fragmentation, a clarity begins to form. This angel does not descend to save, but to cut—cleanly, decisively—through cycles of abuse and imposed identity.
In this work, ArNoUx channels a German Expressionist language where distortion becomes testimony. The gesture is raw, immediate, and unfiltered, allowing the psychological landscape to surface without ornament. Severance becomes sacred: an act of survival, a reclaiming of voice, and the beginning of an unbound existence.
