Curatorial Description:
The Scolder is an emotional study of human expression captured through raw color and texture. The figure seems to emerge from the surface like a spirit in motion—its eyes heavy with judgment, its lips trembling between warning and compassion. ArNoUx’s brushwork transforms the reprimand into poetry: a dialogue between color and conscience. The mixture of reds, greens, and ochres recalls the moral and spiritual tensions of everyday life, rendered through the artist’s unmistakable German Expressionist lens.
