📝 Curatorial Statement (English)
“Innocence Under Fire” emerges from the raw terrain of emotional survival. Painted on sketchbook cartulina with acrylics, this German Expressionist piece by ArNoUx (2025) confronts the unspoken truth: innocence is fragile, and often the greatest danger comes not from strangers but from those closest to us.
The figure—vulnerable, exposed, yet luminous—symbolizes the silent battles many souls fight within their own families. ArNoUx captures the moment when purity is threatened, when trust is fractured, and when the spiritual realm becomes a battlefield between darkness and divine protection.
The brushstrokes are heavy, instinctive, and unapologetically human. The background storms with greens, blues, and violets, representing the spiritual turbulence around a childlike soul trying to breathe inside chaos.
Even in this turmoil, the face remains soft—proof of the inner light that the devil cannot extinguish, no matter how much he manipulates the hearts of others.
This artwork becomes a testimony: Innocence can be attacked, but it cannot be erased.
