Curatorial Statement
God Above All Darkness presents a vision of spiritual conflict and divine victory. At the lower center of the composition appears the face of Christ, emerging from layers of turbulence, pain, and earthly struggle. Above Him stand angelic figures, guardians and witnesses of the eternal battle between light and darkness.
The surrounding forms may be interpreted as wolves, shadows, hostile spirits, or the countless forces that seek to distract humanity from the path of God. Yet none of these presences dominate the composition. Christ remains visible, steadfast, and eternal. The angels do not flee; they remain standing as symbols of divine protection, faith, and perseverance.
The work reminds viewers that evil may roam the world and spiritual opposition may be real, but darkness never possesses the final word. Through faith, prayer, and trust in God, believers are accompanied by heavenly guardians and strengthened by the presence of Christ.
Rather than focusing on fear, the artwork speaks of hope. It declares that no matter how many shadows surround us, God remains greater than every obstacle, every temptation, and every force of spiritual darkness.
