Description
Title:
Angel of the Living Worlds
Curatorial Statement:
Angel of the Living Worlds presents a contemplative figure emerging from a dense, organic environment where nature is not passive, but conscious. Within this universe, every element—lakes, forests, flowers, and divine constructions—becomes a field of observation inhabited by spiritual beings. These are not traditional angels; they are witnesses, archivists of creation, entities that study and record the silent language of existence.
The central figure dissolves into the surrounding matter, suggesting that identity is not fixed but absorbed by the living systems it observes. The thick, tactile surface—applied through expressive, almost instinctive gestures—reinforces the idea of a world in constant formation, where knowledge is not written but felt. The greens dominate as a symbol of life and continuity, interrupted by bursts of yellow and red that evoke moments of revelation, tension, and divine intervention.
Executed in a raw German Expressionist language, the work prioritizes emotional truth over anatomical precision. The face appears fragmented, almost unfinished, as if still being shaped by the very world it studies. This ambiguity reflects the role of the angel as both observer and participant—present within creation, yet not entirely of it.
ArNoUx constructs here a “curatorial corridor,” a conceptual space where all elements converge into a single title, a single vision: the understanding that creation is alive, watched, and continuously interpreted by unseen presences.
