The Message Within the Depth is a conceptual mixed-media installation that articulates a spiritual narrative through symbolic materiality. At its core, a raw, unrefined sculptural form evokes the convergence between a fish and a bird—two archetypal symbols deeply rooted in biblical and metaphysical traditions.
The fish, emerging from an earthy and fragmented base, alludes to death, burial, and the hidden depths—recalling the entombment and the silent passage through the unknown. From this same mass rises a bird-like presence, suggestive of the Holy Spirit, ascending yet still anchored to the corporeal weight of existence. This duality reflects transformation: from confinement to transcendence, from matter to spirit.
Adjacent to the form lies a weathered glass bottle containing an implied message—an allusion to salvation cast into the vastness of the world. It speaks to the act of divine communication: fragile, displaced, yet persistent across time and space.
