“The Meditating Bride at the Shoreline”
German Expressionist & German Expressionist Figurative

CURATORIAL STATEMENT (English)
In this German Expressionist abstract-figurative composition, ArNoUx transforms a simple poster-board surface into a spiritual landscape where color becomes emotion and movement becomes narrative.
The sweeping silver-gray strokes evoke a dense, breathing jungle — a symbolic wilderness of thoughts, memories, and unresolved prayers. Cutting through this emotional terrain, a deep blue diagonal line represents the river-path leading toward awakening and clarity. A vertical green trace appears like a lifeline: the fragile but persistent hope that rises even in confusion.
At the center of this imagined world walks the Bride, a figure seen through her shadow and presence rather than her body. She moves along the shoreline — a place of transition between earth and water, between past and future. This is the moment where she meditates, listens, and prepares her soul.
The beach becomes sanctuary.
The jungle becomes the mind.
The river becomes the Spirit guiding her steps.
A work that celebrates inner transformation, solitude, and the sacred journey of a woman becoming whole.
