Curatorial Statement (English)

Ancient Women in Motion – Diptych (2025) is a pair of elongated German Expressionist Figurative works by ArNoUx, inspired by the quiet elegance and stylized posture of antique women reminiscent of Lladro porcelain figures.

Each panel captures movement using a raw, expressive brushstroke that stretches the figures vertically, giving them a timeless, relic-like quality. The women feel sculpted out of gesture and intuition—delicate, ancient, and emotionally charged.
