Curatorial Statement – ArNoUx

The Breath of Life is a symbolic textile artwork that merges body, nature, and divine creation into a single expressionist gesture. The handprint stands as the mark of existence — the human imprint given by God — while the cascading vertical colors become the Tree of Life, the trunk of beginning, the spiritual column through which breath becomes flesh.

The vivid reds, blues, and pinks flow downward like rivers of creation, echoing the moment in Genesis when the Spirit of God hovered over the waters and breathed life into humanity. The textile surface becomes a living canvas, carrying the idea that every human being is formed through a divine exhalation — a sacred spark transferred from the Creator to the created.
